Policeman busted extorting money from motorist

A police officer has been busted on suspicion of the crime of extortion.  The officer, identified as Constable 1124 Amir Moh, was on duty at the check point at miles three and a half on the Western Highway when he tried to extort money from a motorist.  He story, as reported by the police is that forty eight year old Alexander Tate’s car was being towed towards Lord’s Bank village when it approached the check point.  Constable Moh reportedly informed Take of a traffic offence pertaining to his vehicle’s insurance an allegedly told Tate that he would be criminally charged if he does not hand over seventy dollars.  Tate says that he agreed to give the policeman the seventy dollars on his return from Lord’ Bank village. Unknown to the policeman, Tate noted the serial numbers of the seven 10-dollar bills before handing over the money.  He then made a report to the police and when Constable Moh was later apprehended at the Check point, a search of his pockets turned up the money, matching the serial numbers recorded by Tate. Constable Moh was subsequently arrested and charged for the crime of Extortion. A statement from the Police Press officer Raphael Martinez notes that in the police’s effort to deliver the best service to the community the department is asking the public to report any improprieties from police officers to the nearest Police station.
