Hurricane season ends
The 2011 Hurricane Season ended today. And while the country was spared the ravages of mother nature this year, the next six months should be enough time to tweak individual emergency plans for the 2012 season. Love TV’s Marion Ali reports.

Suspended classes expected to resume on Thursday
National Emergency Coordinator Noreen Fairweather says classes are expected to resume on Thursday. Fairweather did not go into specifics, but with only the Corozal district remaining a going concern, it appears that the resumption of classes will be only for the Orange Walk, Belize and Cayo districts. The latest advisory from the Miami-based National Hurricane Centre indicates that Hurricane Rina has been downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane.
